Pearl Tubbs graduated from the St. Lawrence State Hospital as a registered nurse in 1919, and went on to have a 20+ year career at Trudeau Sanatorium. In the 1920s and 30s she operated the cure cottage at 51 Lake Street (now 110), which later came to be known as the Eagles Nest.
