Happy Thanksgiving from the staff and Board of Directors here at Historic Saranac Lake, the Saranac Laboratory Museum, and the Cure Porch on Wheels.
We're thankful for all of your support throughout the year! Our work would not be possible without the volunteers, donors, and fans who help us preserve and share area history and architecture to build a stronger community. We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! In this photograph, Dr. Edward R. Baldwin prepares to carve a turkey, probably for Thanksgiving, in the Baldwin family home on Church Street in Saranac Lake. We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a Smart Growth grant from the State of New York Department of Environmental Conservation to support site plan design for our expanded museum campus in downtown Saranac Lake. This spring we acquired the Trudeau Building at 118 Main Street for expansion of our existing museum at the adjacent Saranac Laboratory. Careful site plan design will create a seamless visitor experience by integrating the two buildings and the various exhibit spaces. See the complete press release to learn more!
