We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded American Rescue Act Funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and from NY Humanities. The grants will support our general operations as we bounce back from the economic damage caused by the pandemic, as well as a second year of humanities programs to complement our “Pandemic Perspectives"exhibit. The NEH grant will also support the development of a new short film for the future expanded museum. The film will be directed by local filmmaker Kirk Sullivan. The film will include an introduction to Indigenous history in the Adirondacks, which will be created in partnership with the Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center. Our thanks to the Fadden family for collaborating with us on this exciting project.

Happy birthday to Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau! We love this photograph of Dr. Trudeau, Mrs. Trudeau, and their daughter Charlotte "Chatte" Trudeau with friends at a "bonnet party" that was recently donated to our collection. Mrs. Trudeau is seated at far left, Dr. Trudeau is in the middle of the back row with his face hidden by a hat, and Chatte is standing at his left. Maybe next year we'll throw our own bonnet party to celebrate Dr. Trudeau's birthday! It looks like a great time!
