Join our legacy society

 You can ensure the preservation of our rich history by joining our Legacy Society and including Historic Saranac Lake in your estate plans. Planned gifts, including bequests, represent a wonderful opportunity to preserve Saranac Lake’s history for future generations. Joining our Legacy Society is easy. You can make Historic Saranac Lake a beneficiary in your will, retirement plan, life insurance, trusts, or other estate planning vehicles. Legacy Society members receive special recognition and invitations to donor events. FIVE WAYS TO GIVE

  1. Bequests — By including Historic Saranac Lake in your will, you can make a difference while retaining assets you may need now.
  2. Life Insurance — By donating your life insurance policy to Historic Saranac Lake, you may be able to claim an income tax deduction for the current value of the policy. Additionally, you may be able to deduct future premium payments. 
  3. Retirement Assets — By making a gift of 401(K), 403(B), IRA, or Pension funds, you may save your estate the burden of paying estate and income taxes on those assets
  4. Trusts — By creating a charitable remainder trust, you may support Historic Saranac Lake while continuing to provide for yourself and your loved ones.
